I guess it's the unconditional love they carry around. Free from any form of bias they mirror our actions innocently.
A kid's mind is quite malleable and we can mold them into environmentally-conscious adults.
In this article, we are going to look at some cool ways we as parents or caregivers can use to encourage our young ones to play a role in taking care of mother nature.
A child is always ready to learn, and ready to bask in nature. We need to engage them in interesting activities that build them, their future, and ultimately the future of our planet. Here are some tangible steps we can take to help our kids understand the importance of conserving the environment. 1) Step outside :
Allow your kids to explore nature by exposing them to outdoor activities. Take them to the beach, (if you are lucky to live near one), explain to them about natural bodies like the sun and the moon, introduce them to different animal habitats. Organize visits to parks and zoos this will boost their understanding of the role of animals and plants in nature. 2) Put your best foot forward.
Kids mirror the actions of the figures around them. they learn from what they see around them. If you are reading chances are high that you are conscious about the impact we have on nature and the consequences. Some of which we are already facing. You could start by introducing them to the concept of scarcity of the resources that nature has given us freely. This might happen involuntarily when you find the young ones playing with water or using it frivolously. Lead by example, Don't leave the water taps running, switch off the lights and appliances when you are not using them are. These are some of the baby steps you could take to making your child more conscious of his or her actions on the environment. 3) Reduce, Reduce. Through the previous step influence your kids 'by any means necessary' to reduce wastage and encourage them to recycle products such as water bottles. While out buying toys avoid buying any toy your kid demands, Instead be more conscious and pick toys that are eco-friendly. There are plenty of stores that are offering eco-friendly toys nowadays. 4) Regulate the content they are watching. There are myriad ways you can influence the content your kids are watching and listening to.

A proper tablet will be loaded with fun content aimed at making your kid more empathetic about the world around them.
5) But don't be stingy.
Kids respond best to rewards and incentives. Encourage good behavior in them with gifts and attention. For example, you can let them know that they will be rewarded for joining you in the kitchen garden.
